Storage & Prep
Store in the fridge. Freeze if unused within two days.
Brush top with egg yolk or milk. Cut a thumb sized hole in the top. Place in a preheated oven at 200ºC. If, after 30 minutes the pastry is golden, turn down the heat to approx 170ºC and cook for a further 30 minutes. If not, leave at the existing temperature and cook for a further 30 minutes.
Pastry: Flour, lard, butter, salt.
Filling: Trevilley Farm beef, onion, potato, swede, flour, egg & salt
